Zayt-The National Company for Agro-Industries, was established in 2004 in Ramallah, Palestine and international investors, including local olive oil companies, cooperatives, and farmers. The vision was based on the fact that Palestinian olive oil, which is recognized by international experts as one of the best olive oils in the world, was not branded as such in international markets. Efforts made by the Palestinian olive oil at a level worthy of its quality.

Zayt’s main task is to make sure that the olive oil it sells to local consumers and to international markets, is properly handled, from picking the olives, through the process of handling, pressing, filtering, packaging and storing the oil.

Zayt makes sure that the oil it produces originates from locations recognized by experts as the best venues for growing and harvesting olive oil in Palestine. Zayt’s projected production for 2006 includes processing and exporting 400 tons of olive oil, increasing to 800 tons by the next few months Zayt is specialized in producing and bottling premium Extra Virgin olive oil, in addition to Organic Extra Virgin olive oil that is being certified as such by internationally accepted certifiers. Virgin olive oil is also bottled in different packages.

Zayt has now new premises contains a building of 320m2 for the Olive mill press plus 1100m2 for the olive oil storage facility and 1100m2 for the production facility in Annabi Saleh Village North West of Birzeit and Ramallah cities. The Olive mill is a full automatic (3 phase decanter) of 4 ton per hour capacity. Zayt has new filing factory2 include glass bottles, ceramic bottles, tins and bag-in-the-box, and also we have stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 380,000 liter.
